During the course of life we encounter many souls and they all have different tasks for us. They all belong to our soul group and have the potential to prepare us for transformative moments.
They appear in our lives for one important reason, i.e. so that we could learn important life lessons or universal laws through either pleasant union or through confrontation with them.
In any case they help us to grow and develop as a soul. We build more or less deep connections with such souls and each of them represents a mirror for ourselves with all our qualities.
We can group or divide these souls into four different groups. 1. THE SOULS WHO ARE OUR FRIENDS This type of relationship occurs most in life. We have connected with them because our emotions, intelligence as well as egos harmonize best with theirs. We experience the world and ourselves in a similar way to those people or souls that we choose as our friends.
With such friends we share the same interests, have the same or a very similar taste, beliefs, values and also sense of humor. We laugh together with them and share our suffering and also find (and give) comfort.
2. THE SOULS THAT ARE OUR LIFE TEACHERS
These souls have come into our lives to teach us a lesson. You do not have to be aware or intentionally do that, but they often create such challenging situations in our lives that we need to overcome and learn from them. They can appear as our family members, friends or acquaintances, old lovers or even as our enemies. We attract them into our lives because we can learn something from them, such as to be patient, to have more tolerance, to be more understanding, etc. 3. THE SOULS WHO BECOME OUR SPIRITUAL TEACHERS AND PARTNERS These are our soulmates towards whom we do not feel any physical or romantic attraction. These can be men as well as women, friends, or family members. This connection is more enduring and stable than the connection with the friends. There is a deep understanding between us and these souls, you feel as if you've known each other for hundreds of years and you're on the same wavelength. Such a connection lasts a lifetime. 4. THE TWIN SOULS Ancient Greeks believed that we were once a whole soul and because gods got angry at us, they divided our souls into two parts. This other part of our soul is our twin soul. In the course of life, when we meet this other part of our self, (our twin soul), we often feel that we have found our missing part and feel perfect and whole. With these souls, we usually experience a deep, quiet, boundless love that expects nothing and gives everything in love. All of these four kinds of souls come into our lives, either for a reason, or to spend only one stage of our lives with us, or to share our whole life with us. When a soul comes into our lives for a reason, it is there for our need to help us or give guidance or emotional and physical assistance in situations that are difficult for us.
The souls that appear in our lives in a particular period (that may be even for a moment) are there just in case we should undergo a significant change: e.g. when we discover one of our hidden talents, overcome our fear, or when we ned to change our beliefs and values. Once the soul has fulfilled this “duty”, it disappears from our lives.
When a soul appears in our lives and stays with us all our lives, it is our soulmate or our twin soul. These connections with the Twin Soul are rare and precious, like the most beautiful jewel, and when we do find them, we are truly blessed with happiness, love and peace.
