Love sometimes looks like a complex paradox, but it is the most valuable thing that can possibly happen to us.
Sometimes it seems like love can be driving you crazy, but at the same time it can make you the happiest person in the world. Nevertheless, love is rarely the way it is shown in movies, so our expectations are often too wrong and too high.
We all know this: love sometimes hurts a lot; we way too often fall in love with people who do not reciprocate the same. At times like this it may seem like your whole world is falling apart, but in reality it is not. Feelings for specific people appear and disappear, like all other things in life. But this does not mean that you should give up on love altogether.
This world desperately needs love, even if it sometimes hurts desperately. Do not be afraid to take risks, in which case you will either find your true happiness with the one you love, or learn a new lesson.
Love requires a compromise. That is, you have to let go of things in order to find something better.
Compromise is possible when both of you let go of dysfunctional relationships in order to end up with something that both of you will enjoy.
If you think the other person will fall in love with you when you change yourself and start playing by their rules, you are extremely wrong. Never do this, or you will end up being extremely unhappy and lonely.
If someone wants to be with you, that person must love you for who you are. Thew will love every part of you - all your virtues and all your mistakes, and it should be a mutual feeling.
You have to be able to be yourself in a relationship and feel natural in it. If your partner is making you unhappy or wants you to change your personality, then that person is definitely not the right person for you.
He will never become "your" person.
It's okay if someone wants to help because they see you as a potential for development. But it's not good if your partner wants you to be a completely different person just to meet their expectations.
If you ever get to the point in a relationship where you have to beg someone to stay with you, know that this is the end. If the person doesn't want to be with you, let them go.
Love and respect yourself in the first place. If you don't do it yourself, no one else will do it for you. Save your dignity.
Never beg for anything, especially not for love.
If someone cannot or does not want to love you, just leave and let them leave. If your relationship is not destined to continue, then so be it.
