Have you ever met someone you later ignored, rejected or did not want to have anything to do with? People are quick to criticize each other, putting labels at the same time.
If we notice any visible differences between us and others, we immediately focus on them all our attention. We judge the other person through the filter of our difficult life experience and knowledge, and it makes us feel more confident. We tend to ignore the potential hidden somewhere deep inside us. So when two worlds collide without warning, there is one very good reason to wait for what it will lead to.
Given how different their lives and values are, under normal circumstances, the two persons would never meet and would never spend time with each other. Both sides would quickly form mutual judgments. But, their paths cross in the most unusual way for a good reason.
Why not? Because everything in this life is either a lesson or a gift.
And this random encounter is no exception. Was it really an accidental encounter? Personally, it all makes me smile. As hard as it is to accept, this statement is fair enough. It's just that sometimes we confuse our lessons and our gifts by taking them wrong.
For example, we do not see the highest blessing in a broken relationship (either platonic or romantic) that has made us one step closer to getting to know ourselves better and meeting our true soul mate. Or we believe that someone is a real gift to us, but in the end it turns out that this person was one of the most important and painful lessons in our lives.
The ability to establish a spiritual connection with others is essential to control one's own prejudices. By mastering the art of restraining our ego and keeping our hearts open, we begin to look at people and life from a different perspective. And it helps us see all the richness of our life and the people who are present in it. We begin to see in each other all the good things, not just what we would like to change. We accept the existence of differences because they can be seen from the outside, not hidden deep under the skin. Our worldview changes and our compassion for each other increases. So be grateful for all the gifts that life has offered you, as well as for all its lessons learned. Sometimes life's lessons are the greatest blessing, even though the path to them is marked with great suffering.
For me personally, this was an opportunity to start over, a second chance. Not only can I breathe freely now, but I can also live the life I previously only dreamed of, even if it didn't work out the way I wanted it to.
That's the gift - knowing that when the time comes, everything will be exactly as it should be. That's what happens all the time. And you will understand it too, the main thing is to keep believing!
