Faith in the known gives people security. Media and society create this illusion of security. The step into the unknown, meeting strangers and gaining new experience results in fears and questions.
But not confronting the new situation, not facing fears and not exploring and getting to know the new territory often leads to ignorance and rejection.
When you were a child you were full of optimism, enthusiasm and curiosity. But where is it now? The courage, the interest and the infinite curiosity to explore, understand and be open to new things?
Is your inner curiosity buried under responsibility and duties? Is physical disability the reason, or economical disadvantage? There are thousands of excuses you could make and they usually start with obligations and responsibilities. Surely you have already read many times that man himself sets the limits and no one else. That's the way it is. You need to have the courage to explore the new and to act.
Turn off the bad scenarios in your head. Why would you think that only bad things would happen to you? You could also win in the lottery and live / experience many nice things. Here's an exercise: The next time you notice that scenarios in your head are “playing”, pause and breathe deeply through the nose into your stomach (you can put a hand on your stomach and feel like your stomach rises when you breathe in) and imagine you breathing in peace, light and love and breathing out through the mouth you exhale all your negative thoughts from your mind -and just let go. Gain experience, not material things If you look at the modern world today, it is all about work and the same everyday routine. Sounds like a pretty boring life. There is yet so much to discover and to experience and people are discarding and suppressing curiosity. Studies by the renowned psychologist Thomas Gilovich from the American Cornell University of their lives. Material things can only bring about happiness for a short period of time, after which people get bored with them. They simply cannot create a long-term feeling of happiness. People are living in the illusion of security - especially nowadays it is proven from day to day that security is just an illusion. So, what kind of security do you fight for and want to win?
