If you don't take control of your own life, someone else will. We all want to get rid of negative people, things, and habits in our lives, which are burdens on our way to the desired future, on the way to our dreams.
But it doesn’t work that simple, desire alone is not enough. Every life journey has its stages, every fight has its victims, every new goal requires abandoning some of our old goals. But most of all, we are surprised that sometimes we don't even realize that there are things we care about too much. What do we mean exactly?
The answer is simple: you should get rid of everything when you start to perceive it differently, when you start to perceive it as bad or superfluous in your life. The fight against negative habits is sometimes reduced to fixing them. And the more we fight them, the more we adopt them. The only way out of this vicious circle is to understand them as something completely unnecessary and unimportant to your life, and begin to focus on what is important. And only then does the real change happen.
All our lives we listen to different advice, learn new knowledge, gain new experiences and add new sequences to the whole range of understandings of life. But life path is different, and it does not consist only of adding, but in subtracting as well. When realize that you do not need more experience to get to know yourself, no new knowledge to be more successful, but that life needs to be stripped to its essence, to live it without thinking too much.
With our tendency to overthink, we introduce a whole new range of problems into our daily lives and then we added even more things to worry. Getting rid of the excess means focusing on what is important, on what is the best and realizing that a quality life is not a goal to be reached in the distant future but a current way of thinking and living. The only formula for a truly happy life is to get rid of all that is less good than what you really deserve.
