Life Begins Only When You Stop Pleasing Others

Life begins only when you stop pleasing others, as  you cannot even please yourself all the time. At first you think it will bring you something, you get used to it over time, but eventually you realize that you are just losing yourself in it. ​

You lose your "Self" in order to please thousands of others who will never open up to you, who will never do for you what you would do for them. When you enter that vicious circle you realize that in the end that you are attached to the thinking of others, moreover you depend on it.
Life begins only when you stop pleasing others. At first, you think people care about you, but over time, these people really show how much they do not care about you. So you lose your dreams because you have to adapt to their dreams, you lose your original feelings because you do not want to hurt theirs, you lose your attitude so you must not oppose them, and then you end up wondering why you are unhappy.

​Life begins only when you stop pleasing others. But it has to come, sometimes it takes half a life to realize that simple truth and ask yourself how come it took you so long. Maybe you were doing it because you are a big-hearted person and you want to help others, but in the end you realize that helping others does not mean fulfilling  other's wishes and desires all the time.

One has to start looking at oneself, thinking from the perspective of one's own heart. Only when you start respecting yourself will you be able to respect other human beings. Look for your happiness in the opportunities that life offers you, giving yourself the chance to start over from scratch every day. You don't have to keep all the people you meet in your life, just keep your uniqueness and originality and the real ones will stay with you.
