Each day, a farmer brought the water from a spring to the village in two large amphoras, which he tied on the back of a donkey, which trotted alongside him.
One of the amphoras, the old and full of cracks, leaked the water during the journey. The other, new and perfect, retained all the content without losing a drop.
The old and cracked amphora felt humiliated and useless, especially since the new amphora did not miss the opportunity to point out its perfection: "I don't spill even a drop of water!".
One morning, the old amphora confided to the master: “You know, I am aware of my limitations. You waste time, effort and money because of me. When we get to the village I am half empty. Forgive my weakness and my wounds. "
The following day, during the journey, the master turned to the cracked amphora and said to her: "Look at the roadside". "It is so beautiful! That part of the road is full of flowers! " answered the amphora. "Have you seen it? And all this flowers have grown here thanks to you," said the master. “It is you who have watered the side of the road every day. I bought a bag of flower seeds and sowed them along the way, and without knowing it and without wanting it, you watered them every day. Now, the beautiful flowers appeared!" The old amphora never told anyone, but that day she felt herself bursting and cracking with joy. We are all full of wounds and cracks, but if we want, we can do wonders with our imperfections.
